The GT project of Shikalbaha Gas Turbine Power Plant in Bangladesh, contracted by  Sino-Hydro Bureau No. 8 Co., Ltd. of China, entered into full-load test run on July 16, 2010. All operating parameters, including vibration of unit, temperatures of bearings and exhaust gas were within normal range. Later on, the unit was put into a 168-hour test run which was successfully finished on July 26. It marked the completion of all the installation and commissioning works of the project.
    Nanguang Power has undertaken the installation and commissioning of the main frame, auxiliary system and exhaust stack of the GT unit, a SGT5-2000E(V94.2) provided by Siemens  with net output of 144.8MW running under 35℃. The completion of such a project shows Nanguang Power has reached a new height in the field of GT installation.
    Since it’s the first time NG has ever involved in the installation of Siemens GT, the technical documents of the unit appears unfamiliar to us. In order to fully understand these documents, our site project department seriously organized technical personnel to study these documents and discuss on meetings each evening the emphases and potential difficulties of the next day''s installation, so as to make full use of our collective wisdom to constantly clear up the barriers in the way. In facing the conflict of project schedules between inlet system installation and civil construction, we tried our best to bring the whole field staff into full play with extra working hours in spite of all the difficulties, and finished the task within the time limit set by Sino-Hydro Bureau No. 8 Co., thus paving the way for next-phase work such as cabling & wiring, and guaranteeing the smooth completion of the project.
    By giving full play to her advantages in GT installation, Nanguang Power achieved success in her first cooperation with Sino-Hydro Bureau No. 8 Co., and laid a sound foundation for further bilateral cooperation.
