Basically, the second step of the project of overhauling, dismantling and removing the No.1 and No.2 PG6531B turbine sets in Gubei Gas Thermal Power Plant of Shengli Oil Field is to execute installation and field testing and adjustment for the dismantled and delivered turbine sets in Tahe Oil Field of Xinjiang.

The installation field for the turbine sets is located at the boundary area to the Taklimakan Desert of Xinjiang, featured with hard natural environment. The field is surrounded by desert, and a depopulated zone of dozens even over a hundred of square kilometers around. Complied with the owner¡¯s needs, our crew members of the field personnel drove to the installation field successively: the first batch started driving there on Jul. 10, 2013, the second Jul. 17 and the third Jul. 22 respectively.

Under the weather of July, the installation field was substantially hot, field temperature being 38 degrees centigrade, but in order to complete the project as soonest as possible, our field personnel were fighting the hot weather and working hard.

By now we have got below updates:

I.Field environment

1.Due to hot weather in daytime, the field working time is from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm the morning shift, and 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm the afternoon shift;
2.With worse accommodation, only one shower nozzle in the hostel and two squat toilets outdoors, flies being a lot, we were not used to it at the beginning.

II.Field progress

1.No.1 turbine load gearbox positioning, leveling and centering completed on Jul. 24;
2.No.2 turbine load gearbox positioning, leveling and centering completed on Jul. 26;
3.No.2 turbine load gears and generator alignment completed on Jul. 28;
4.No.1 turbine load gears and generator alignment completed on Jul. 30;
5.In alignment process, it was found the generator alignment data were qualified but varied the next day when checking again; then to check it with meter, finding out when the generator body was being downed onto main base mounts, the body sank about 0.1mm. Through checking out the reason, we found strength of the 2nd poured cement base too low, civil engineering meter showing the strength lower than C10.
6.Decided by the owner, supervisor and us, the 2nd poured contrete base should be destroyed and replaced with low expended cement for re-pouring. On Aug. 1, the civil engineering unit started destroying the two-time poured base on the poured turbine main base.
7.Mount the 2 turbine sets again on Aug. 1;
8.Hoist the load gearboxes of the two turbine sets from the base on Aug. 2;
9.Civil engineering unit executed the 2nd cement pouring on Aug. 3;
10.Remove the filter parts of the 2 turbine sets from the platform and install them on Aug. 3;
11.No.1 turbine bypass chimney¡¯s lower part and side brackets were in the progress of installation;
12.Hoist and install No.1 turbine horizontal flue on Aug. 4;
13.Clean again the No.1 turbine base platform on Aug. 5, hoisting back the load gearbox, downing generator body, and cleaning No.1 turbine inlet filter chamber;
14.Clean No.2 turbine base platform on Aug. 6, hoisting back load gearbox, and downing No.2 generator body;
15.Turbine bodies were delivered to the field on morning, Aug. 6;
16.Due to expensive cost for hiring local heavy crane, for saving hoisting charge, in the progress of installing bypass chimneys, we had to divide the chimney into two more parts, hoisting and installing it one part by another. Though the process added tremendous workload to the field installing personnel, installing cost was saved for our company;
17.By Aug. 6, the cable ditch inside the No.1 turbine local controlling chamber had been poured cement, but outdoor cable ditch was just in the progress of construction.
