The project of overhauling, dismantling and removing two sets of PG6531B gas turbines in Gubei Gas Thermal Power Plant of Shengli Oil Field had proceeded on from early Apr. to early Jul. 2013 at Shengli Oil Field of Shandong, and the transportation of the two turbines from Shandong Province to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region had taken over one month; by Aug. 6, 2013, the turbine mainframe had arrived at the installing field in Xinjiang. The installing process at the installing field of Ruixiang Oil Field of Kuche, Xinjiang, contains the followed stages: installation of the mainframe was just executed from early August when it arrived at the field; before arrival of the turbine mainframe base to Xinjiang, turbine generators and load gearboxes had reached the field in late July; from late July positioning the load gearboxes and generators, to late October the full completion of installing the two gas turbines, thanks to the common endeavors of the field installing personnel from Nanjing Nangang Power and Equipment Installation Company and the substantial assistance by the owner¡¯s personnel, by now the two sets of gas turbines have completed all adjusting processes under full speed zero load, but blaming to the owner¡¯s field electricity transmission network that has not satisfied the conditions of accessing into the grid, the turbine sets will run with load only after completion of the grid construction.

The project of dismantling and removing turbines is featured with enormous items, stressful missions and wide working scales, which put forward new requirements and challenges to our field installing personnel. For example, in the construction of dismantling bypass chimney, complied with the contract terms, the bypass chimney has to be divided into some parts so as to meet the transportation need of neither ultrahigh nor ultra-wide for the cargo. To meet the requirement, during dismantling process, we executed dismantlement according to the transportation needs of the owner and the logistic company. The part which could have been removed as one body, due to its size unfitting to need, was divided into three or four sub-parts for transporting, which much increased our workload on dismantling and reinstalling.

In the construction process at installing field of Xinjiang, during the process of alignment, it was found out that although the generator alignment data were qualified, in next day the data varied in rechecking; checking by meter, we found that when the generator body was downed onto main base mounts, it sank about 0.1mm. Through detecting the reason, it¡¯s found out that the cement in second pouring was low in strength, less than C10 in base strength checked out by civil engineering meter. Analyzing with the owner and supervisor, we decided to destroy the second poured concrete base and replace with higher number of expended cement for re-pouring. In the progress, although we had completed the levelling and centering processes for generator and load gearbox, we had to undo the alignment for generator and load gearbox that we had completed earlier, and executed hoisting the gearbox and mounting the generator base. In order to avoid position variation of the two-time pre-buried board already adjusted on the base, before destroying the already poured second contrete base on the turbine main base by civil engineering unit, the pre-buried board and base bolts had been welded and settled beforehand, which saved the time for readjusting the two-time pre-buried board, winning time in the construction period.

During the project of installing turbines in Xinjiang, in the field installing period from late July to late October, the installing personnel underwent scorching tests under the desert sun in summer, and the sand storm rushing straight on face making people unable to open their mouths, and so on.

To us there¡¯re difficulties in work but we don¡¯t retreat; we Nangang people are not afraid of hardships and are able to undertake them, by which, Nangang Power can establish excellent business image, gain the clients and win the markets.
